IRONMAN Photos, April 13,2008
What an amazing adventure!  A memory I will cherish forever, but wish to never re-live.  It was the 2nd toughest
physical challenge of my life, only behind hiking the Grand Canyon from rim to rim.  My goal was to cross that finish
line before the cut off time and that is exactly what I did!!!  With only 11 minutes to spare.  I finished in 16 hours, 49
minutes.  I took my time and did what I needed to do to get through this grueling day.  I was smiling from beginning to
end and I am so proud to be able to add completing an Ironman to my treasure chest of life.  Sean was with me the
entire day and was such an amazing support, it kept me motivated knowing I would see him out on the course a lot.
Other than sheer soreness and fatigue (and sunburn), I had no issues what so ever.  My wet suit was awesome, my
bike was perfect, no mechanical issues or flat tires and the run was just one long
, mental game of mind over matter.
Thank you Cindy for watching the boys and bringing them to the finish line for me!  And thank you to everyone who
called all day long to see how I was doing.  I FINISHED!!!!!!!!

Our fund raisers are doing very well, I will announce the dollar amount raised at the end of April.
